Second Chance Project – Working with ex-offenders

An opportunity to address the causes of re-offending amongst Black and minority ethnic (BME) offenders who, are on the margins of society and are so often the last in line to receive the services they need to go straight. The need to give these individuals an equal chance to play a fulfilling and responsible role in society.

Objectives of Project:

To address issues faced by BME offenders when they leave prison.  

• Poor family relationships

• Unsuitable accommodation

• Mental health issues

• Lack of employability
